As Optical Dispensers, this is a question we hear quite often!  It can be overwhelming & daunting when faced with the decision of which glasses to choose, but I feel your new glasses choose you.

With regards to shapes and colours, there are some guidelines that should be considered.  The shape should highlight and flatter your facial features, for example, if you have a round face shape, choose a semi large rectangle shaped frame.  It will frame your face nicely.  The colour should complement your hair colour and skin tone - if you have fair colouring, black is stunning as it's such a contrast.  Finally, it should be comfortable.  Your new glasses should be the correct width for your face, you don’t want them pinching or pressing into your head.  If you are someone who is sensitive to weight and pressure, perhaps look into titanium frames or rimless designed frames.
